Weekly Funding Roundup for July Second Week[11th July - 15th July]

After we saw Bengaluru-based startups dominate June, the second week of July saw new names on the chart. July's second week saw 33 Indian startup businesses acquiring finance, with 25 receiving around $461 million. OneCard and 5ire  raised the most, a total of $200 million, $100 million each. 

Among all these, the notable thing is that around 25 homegrown startups collected around $89.69 million, which says a lot about smart and talented minds all around.  

Growth/Late-Stage Deals

Among the only 6 growth and late-stage startups that have collected funds, OneCard's $100 million unicorn round and health tech startup LifeWell's $80 million Series C round topped the charts.

27 startups have successfully raised funds in the early-stage agreements, including eight undisclosed rounds. Blockchain network 5ire topped the list with a $100 million Series A round at a unicorn valuation. Fintech startup Sitara and e-commerce startup Wheelocity are present in the list too.

Fintrackr’s data indicates that Bengaluru topped the charts again after the previous month and July 1st week dominance, with 13 Bengaluru-based startups raising funds adding up to $218.1 million, which is 47.31 % of the total funding. Delhi-NCR-based startups weren’t far behind on the line, raising $29.67 million across 7 deals.

Acquisitions this week

Apart from the numerous fundraisings, there were a couple of notable acquisitions too. The list includes the acquisition of recruitment and staffing platform Wolves India by upgrade (via Rekrut) and Clinix by MediBuddy.
