27 Indian firms received capital totalling around $245 million this week; PhonePe and U Gro Capital were the top fundraisers, bringing in $100 million and $41.3 million, respectively. Comparatively, the Indian startup ecosystem received $565 million in total funding over the preceding week.

Growth/Late-Stage Deals

Four growth-stage and late-stage firms in India were successful in raising money this week. PhonePe emerged as the top after collecting a large $100 million round of fundraising. U Gro Capital came in second with $41.3 million, and Purple Style Labs took third place with a $14 million Series C round.

According to Fintrackr's data, Bengaluru-based firms took the lead this week, as 12 of them raised a combined $180.2 million, or 73.7% of the total amount of investment raised. Around the same time, startups in Mumbai raised $53 million through eight agreements.

Acquisitions

During the week, there were significant acquisitions in addition to fundraising. Among the acquisitions were VideoVerse purchasing Reely and Uni Cards purchasing OHMY Technologies.
